NH Gleans - North Country
What is Gleaning?
Gleaning is the gathering of excess food from farms and backyard gardens that otherwise might go to waste.
NH Gleans is a network of six organizations throughout the Granite State working to increase the availability of fresh, local produce distributed to and through New Hampshire food pantries, soup kitchens, community suppers, and schools to those in need. Taproot has been the North Country Coordinator for NH Gleans since 2015. We are supported by the New Hampshire Farm To School Program and funded by an anonymous donor through the You Have Our Trust Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. You can learn more about NH Gleans, sign up as a volunteer gleaner in our region, or register to donate a crop HERE!
